Our approach on sustainability

Our industry is one of the largest polluters. In fact, the two-year average usage is the equivalent amount of water to the Mediterranean Sea. The most worrying aspect of all is the saturated hues along with the abundance of chemicals that is discharged.

Where others look to industry standards to drive sustainability agendas, we started working on sustainability since the late 1980s. At the time, rotary printing was the sole option for textile printing even with harmful effects to the environment. The search for an alternative led us to digital printing, and the formation of a joint venture with Stork, now known as SPGPrints.

Now, we found an even more sustainable alternative that replaces dyeing completely.

Hence we were the very first companies to implement a waterless dyeing process through our parter, DyeCoo, and subsequently the technology to replace dyeing with new zero water colouration method, ZeroH2O®.

Fabrics from PT. Textile One Indonesia are manufactured with low-liquor ratio and waterless technologies. This saves 2,700 litres of water for every production cycle on one machine..
